John Comedy is a tight-knit group of Brisbane's only four comedians*, putting their best game into every scene.
They take your dumb thoughts and turn them into hilarious scenes all created on the spot before your beautiful eyes. Gosh, did we mention how beautiful your eyes are?
Each performance is like your favourite sketch show, except there is no script to fall back on. Think of shows like Portlandia - but done completely on the fly!
This 6 times cage match winning ensemble and 2025 Big Fork Comedy Festival performers focus on finding organic games in their scenes, John Comedy weaves together hilarious scenes as they explore, and often ruin, their character's worlds. John Comedy, Game on!

Big Fork Theatre is Brisbane's home of improv & comedy, located centrally in Fortitude Valley. With great shows on Thursday to Sunday every week, we have something for everyone. Improvised comedy, sketch comedy, stand-up comedy, and more! Arrive early and grab a drink at our bar.
