Join us for the John Bushey Memorial Lecture featuring Iron Range writer Aaron Brown. In this talk, Brown explores how northern Minnesota shaped Bob Dylan—born in Duluth and raised in Hibbing—and why those roots still matter today. Aaron Brown is a columnist for the Minnesota Star Tribune Editorial Board, based on Minnesota’s Iron Range and writing about issues affecting communities across the entire state. Raised in a trailer house on a local junkyard, Aaron is the first in five generations of his family not to work in an iron mine. His writing often reflects the culture, economy, and everyday life of northern Minnesota. Brown lives down a dirt road on the western Mesabi and previously published commentary at MinnesotaBrown.com.
