John Brothers Piano Company is an Oakland-based instrumental quartet whose compositions oscillate between incisive part-writing and unrestrained improvisational energy. Guided by this interplay, seemingly disparate influences, from chamber music to hot jazz, are focused through emphatic lyricism.

This group of fairies is an ever-evolving musical experience happily smashing genres into fairydust. There have been probably 30 musicians in and out of this group, but we are currently a 7-10 person lineup playing original dance music for happiness and communal bliss.
We absolutely love having these individuals at the Ivy Room! We feel really lucky we get to do this again.
