About this Event

John Bell residential retreat
'Ten things they never told me about the bible'

We are encouraged to read it, and when we do - for the first or umpteenth time -

we realise that Moby Dick or Ulysses might be easier prospects. So what makes

for an enjoyable engagement with the Holy Book, and how do we cope with all

the bits that don't sound very Christian? This retreat will deal with the big picture

and the worrisome details. Proof of bible knowledge or Scripture Union membership is not required.

John Bell is a preacher, hymnwriter, composer, lecturer and broadcaster, and will lead this residential retreat.

John is a Resource Worker with The Iona Community, who lectures, preaches and conducts seminars across the denominations around the world. He is a hymn writer, author and occasional broadcaster, but retains a primary passion for congregational song. John is based in Glasgow and works with his colleagues in the areas of music, worship and spirituality. He is a founding member of the Wild Goose group.

Stay in one of our lovely en-suite bedrooms -and enjoy the Extraordinary Urban Oasis of the Royal Foundation of St Katharines. This residential Retreat is full board.

Any non-chargeable cancellations should be made at least 7 days prior to the day of arrival. A 100% cancellation fee will be made for any late cancellations or non-arrivals.

Kindly note that any refunds will exclude Eventbrite and or administration fees.
