At 66 years old, ultra endurance athlete Joe Barr is taking on one of the most legendary roads in America for an unforgettable challenge.
As part of the Route 66 Centennial, Joe is attempting to break a Guinness World Record by riding the entire length of Route 66 without stopping. Battling heat, elevation, exhaustion, and the miles ahead.
As Joe makes his way through the Texas Panhandle, he’ll be stopping in Amarillo and we invite the community to help welcome him to the real Texas.
Join us on June 6, 2026, at approximately 10:30 AM at Cactus Cove Inn & Suites to cheer Joe on and congratulate him on this incredible accomplishment.
