ABOUT THE PLAY:
Joan & Olivia: A Hollywood Ghost Story is an original Canadian play by Georgia Findlay based on the real-life feud between old Hollywood movie stars Joan Fontaine and Olivia de Havilland - who also just happened to be sisters! In this magical realist interpretation, we follow the legendary actresses beyond the grave as ghosts, doomed to haunt their childhood home together for eternity. When a new pair of young sisters, Molly and Celeste, move into the house, the ghosts each take a sister under their wings and relive their sibling rivalry through these new protegees.
