Sri Labdhawara Kusuma
Also known as Sri Guru among most Indonesian Ashram teachers, he is an international spiritual master, a Prime Guru and chairman of the Indonesia Ashram Association. Sri Labdhara is responsible for more than 200 Ashrams across Indonesia, and is also a well-known healer and yoga teacher. He is the founder of Shanti Wijaya International Jnana Buda Siwa Study Group, (formerly Divine Light International Study Group), which is present across the USA, Europe, Japan, Australia and other countries.
During his time as a Spiritual Master, he has offered guidance and care to people of all backgrounds and origins, from villagers in his local rural community, to university professors, company CEO’s, healers, yoga teachers and international celebrities.
Sri Guru was born in a small Village called Sala, on the day the village community celebrates Lord Shiva at the Shiva temple. It is a sacred day in Hinduism, particularly for the Balinese, since this auspicious date is protected by “God Shiva”. Shiva is the most venerated name of God in Balinese Hinduism, and he is the Lord of yoga worldwide.
Sri Guru’s innate spiritual gifts have been obvious since a very young age, after he survived a near death experience and was miraculously brough back to life by the prayers of Jro Mangku Pica, the Brahma temple priest in the village.
The priest then gave him the name LINGGEN, which means the embodied spirit of God.
When he was 20, Sri Guru was blessed with initiation into the holy knowledge Jnana Buda Siwa, and received his first Diksa from his Guru.
- The Sadhana:
Sri Guru will guide participants in sadhana – spiritual practice – aimed at attaining Jnana Buda Siwa holy knowledge – the knowledge which awakens the practitioner to the Divine nature of the Atman. The Atman is what gives life and vital breath to the human body, and hence has power over it.
When the Atman becomes too identified with the gross nature of the physical body, and the governing force in humans, it forgets its true, Divine nature, which leads to darkness. In order to dispel this darkness, one must study and be guided by a guru, who will awaken the Atman from its darkness by means of the sadhana practice he teaches.
Forms of darkness that affect humans include laziness, ignorance, greed, harmfulness to others, anger, hurtful speech, intoxication, stealing, killing, and so on.
These traits and behaviors are removed by doing sadhana under the guidance of Sri Guru. The sadhana activates and purifies the vital energy body (the cosmic power within), and awakens the Divine attributes of the atman, such as peace, harmony, diligence, calmness, mutual respect, sincerity, spiritual intelligence and equanimity, that will bring about a successful and prosperous life, both materially and spiritually.
