Here is a link to the Google form to complete prior to auditions: https://forms.gle/dq9RqUuhhqczB1UQ8Auditions are on Monday and Tuesday, April 6-7, with possible callbacks on Thursday, April 9.
Vocal auditions will be held from 6pm-8pm, with a dance call from 8pm-9pm. Please sign up for a 30 minute time block for your vocal audition. You should prepare a short song that shows you off well. Cuts from longer songs are welcome. You are allowed to sing a song from the show, or may select a song in a similar style. Please have access to a pre-recorded accompaniment track for your song or bring sheet music with you.

Most will be asked to stay and move/dance from 8:00-9:00. You may choose to do your dance call on a different night than your vocal call. Please bring appropriate clothing that you are comfortable moving in.

Age ranges mentioned are not absolute, and are only a guide.
• MAN IN CHAIR
Age Range: 35-55: Musical theatre aficionado who mourns the end of the Golden Era. His recording of “The Drowsy Chaperone” brings the show to life as he narrates. Above all, this role requires a strong actor who can sing and dance some. He is onstage for the entire show.
JANET VAN de GRAAF
Age Range: 25-35: Leading Lady type – and strong singer, dancer and actor – a true triple threat. Strong dance and acrobatic skills a must. Vocal Range: G3 – Eb
ROBERT MARTIN
Age Range: 25-35: The dashing, ever-cheerful groom. A leading man type with strong singing and excellent dancing skills, including strong tap and also must roller skate (blindfolded). Vocal Range: C3 – Ab4 (Tenor)
THE DROWSY CHAPERONE
Age Range: 35-50: Janet’s alcoholic companion and friend. She must have terrific comic timing and a huge belty voice. She serves as the comic foil to Aldolpho and is the epitome of a diva. Vocal Range: F3 – D5 (Alto)
ALDOLPHO
Age Range: 30-40: European self-proclaimed “ladies man”, played by former silent movie star. Actor with broad comedic skills, comfortable with accents and can move well. Vocal Range: .A#2 – G4 (Baritone + great falsetto or tenor with strong lower range)
GEORGE
Age Range: 25-35: Robert’s anxious best man. Typical period sidekick type. Must have comedic skills and tap dance and move very well. Vocal Range: F3 – Bb4 (Tenor)
FELDZIEG
Age Range: 35-50: Old Hollywood producer type (Ziegfeld-esque), loud and aggressive. Must dance. Vocal range: Db3 – Db4 (Baritone or Tenor)
KITTY
Age Range: 20-35: Feldzieg’s dumb blonde dim-witted girlfriend who wants to be a star. A bright belter who can dance well. Vocal Range: Bb3 – F5 (Soprano)
GANGSTERS (The Tall Brothers) (2)
Age Range: 25-45: Posing as pastry chefs, intending to collect from Feldzieg, must be strong vaudeville type comedians who dance well. Vocal Range: Db3 – Gb4 (Tenors)
MRS. TOTTENDALE
Age Range: 40-60: A wealthy, often forgetful widow who is serving as hostess to the wedding on her estate. Strong comedic skills and must sing and dance well. It would be great if she could play the ukulele. Vocal Range: G3 – Db5 (Alto)
UNDERLING
Age Range: 40-60: Mrs. Tottendale’s savvy English butler. Actor must have classic comic timing as dry as a martini. Vocal Range: Ab2 – G4 (Bari-Tenor)
TRIX
Age Range: 25-40: The brave and brash female aviator. Must have a big and brassy jazz style voice. Vocal Range: Ab3 – Eb5 (Alto)
ENSEMBLE
Age Range: 16+: Men and Women who play a variety of roles including servants, reporters, and wedding guests. Must be very versatile and able to dance, tap and sing well. The ensemble is a vital part of the production!
EVERYONE moves and most dance in the show.
