Come along and join us for our Jive ‘n’ Drive event, a weekend of live music, dancing, vintage cars, motorcycles and more………………Friday 12th August
We begin with a night of music and dance; The Moonshiners duo will be entertaining you playing music from the 1950’s and supported by Vintage DJ Paddy O’Kaye. The night starts at 7.30 and we hope to keep the dancefloor full until close at 11.30. Tickets £10.00.
Saturday 13th August
During the day there will be an array of activities to keep you entertained, details of some are shown below but keep an eye out for more being added over the coming weeks and months:
Dance Workshops in Cabaret Room:
• 10.00 ‘til 11.30am: Strolls with Craig and Angela from Dronfield Vintage Dance. Learn the “Late Night Swing Stroll” and “Peanut Stroll” as well as music to dance your favourite strolls between learning new ones!!
• 12.00 ‘til 1.30pm: Basic 8 Count Lindy Hop by Patrick and Carole from Swing Time Vintage Dance
• 2.00 ‘til 4.00pm: Slow Balboa with Tracey, learn the basics and have time to practice.
Entry per workshop is £5.
Outside Area 10am ‘til 4.00pm
• Classic cars and motorcycles on display
• Vintage Stalls (including hairstylist, hats, clothes, shoes to name a few)
• Music and much more….
The event concludes on the evening with our second dance featuring The Swing Commanders supported by DJ CD Jive. The night starts at 7.30 and we hope to keep the dancefloor full until close at 11.30. Tickets £15.00.
Why not purchase a weekend ticket covering both evening dances and all 3 dance workshops at a cost of £30 per person?
Pitch your Caravan/Motor Home/or tent at the venue, £10 for a single night or £15 for 2 nights.
Food and drink will be available at cost from the Club.
