Jill & Kevin BioJill’s been performing since she was 16. Oregon, California, Texas , Nashville & Alaska. Won the gong show, called up to sing on stage with Doc Watson, opened for the Burrito Brothers, sat in with John Anderson to name a few. Kevin’s been in bands since he was 10 last was a 9 piece Western swing band for 9 years before hooking up with Jill. He was asked to join Dan Hicks’ band but had to turn him down cause of his new baby. Jill & Kevin have been performing together for almost 10 years & here in PT for over 4 years! They can be a duo, trio or 5 piece band including pedal steel, drums & bass.
They play Americana, Western swing, old timey country, blues & originals , and even some folk or Beatles and standards.
Thom Barkes has been a musician basically since he was 8 starting with
accordion then on to guitar at 12... upright bass at 16 has played in
numerous bands. In Texas he was introduced to Bob Wills & western
swing & then started on dobro and eventually steel guitar. Thom plays
with several bands here in Port Townsend
