About this Event
In this four session course, Students will design and cast their own custom piece of sterling silver jewelry using lost-wax casting. Students will carve a ring or pendant from wax, learn to sprue and prepare their design for the kiln and then cast their design followed by cleaning and polishing.
No previous knowledge is necessary to take this class.
Please note there are two sessions of this class. Each session is 4 class meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Please be sure to check that you can attend each class meeting for your chosen session.
Session 1: Feb 18, 23, 25 & Mar 2
Session 2: Apr 8, 13, 15, & 20
Participants must be able to attend all class sessions.

What should I wear or bring to the class?
Safety glasses are required and will be provided, but if you have a pair you're comfortable in, consider bringing your own. On the day of casting, please wear work boots or shoes made from leather or canvas (no nylon, it melts!) and natural fiber clothing (cotton is best). All materials used in the class are provided.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
This workshop is only for those 16+. (Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is also enrolled in the course)
