His visit is part of the nationwide Ted Neeley Farewell Tour. This rare screening, made from 70mm elements, will be the last screening ever in the Northeast featuring Neeley in person. After starring roles in HAIR (1969) and The Who's Tommy (1972), Texas-born Ted Neeley began his run as Jesus of Nazareth on Broadway and then in the Universal Amphitheatre production in Los Angeles. Director Norman Jewison was in search of his two leads for his film adaptation of Jesus Christ Superstar, which was set to shoot in Israel.
