Sam was diagnosed last October with AML. Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He showed no signs of anything wrong. The blood test was a routine draw.
We were notified immediately that he needed to be seen. From October to December went by extremely quickly.
From the Family Doctor to the Cancer specialist took 45 days to being admitted into the Mayo Clinic.
The Leukemia Foundation was the lifeline to Sam being able to afford and be treated with every prescription needed. One the prescriptions over 16K, the foundation took care of anything we needed and offered financial assistance.
Sam has exceeded expectations with rapid recovery after the transplant.
*His 100 day mark is behind him now.*
Without Foundations like the Leukemia Foundation, we wouldn’t have survived financially or emotionally.
