Join us on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the JCHS History & Research Center, 34 South 1st Street, Black River Falls, Wisconsin for a day of history, hands-on demonstrations, and fascinating discoveries.
🔸 Live Flintknapping Demonstrations
Watch skilled Wisconsin–Minnesota flintknappers transform raw stone into beautiful and functional tools. Flintknapping is the ancient art of shaping flint, chert, obsidian, and other stone materials using simple tools. Through careful hand striking and shaping, artisans create arrowheads, knives, and tools — just as people have done for generations.
