SMEDERIJ JAZZPARTY XXL
In March 1991, pianist Diederik Idema organized a jazz concert/jazz session for the first time in eetcafe De Smederij in Groningen.
The idea was to program Jazz every week on Tuesday evening. First a set with invited musicians and then a set in the form of a session. A formula for success that has stood the test of time for more than 30 years. It brought many musical highlights to the Groningen jazz scene. Dutch and foreign top jazz musicians and up-and-coming jazz talent have played in the Smederij. To celebrate this, the house orchestra of De Smederij will give a concert. A line up with top musicians from home and abroad.
