Enjoy an evening of Big Band Jazz with the Inspire Big Band performing a variety instrumental and vocal tunes of notable swing, funk, and fusion jazz.
The Inspire Big Band is born out of the Inspire Studio of the Arts, York’s premiere studio for jazz education and performance. The IBB is a seventeen piece traditional big band made up of professional musicians from throughout Central Pennsylvania.
The Inspire Big Band will be playing various selections from artists and arrangers of the past and the present. Music from famous jazz composers and musicians like Maynard Ferguson, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Kris Berg, Andrew Neu, and Stan Kenton to name a few. Arrangers such as Alan Baylock, John LaBarbera, Sammy Nestico, Mark Taylor, and Don Menza will be featured in the concert.
Our band includes notable jazz musicians Craig Kenney, Tony DeSantis, Bob Stoyko, Ryan Kauffman, and Andrew Roberts are a few of the noted professional jazz players that make up the members of this outstanding group.
Start the beginning of your spring season out right and come on down to the Historic Valencia Ballroom for an extrodinary evening of "Jazzin' Jam" with the Inspire Big Band.
DOORS OPEN AT 6:30 PM.
Seating is general admission and is organized with rounder tables and ten seats per table. There will be an open cash bar available from 6:30 - 9:00 pm.
