About Noa Fort
Noa Fort is a Brooklyn based, Israeli born vocalist, pianist, composer, improviser and music therapist. As a bandleader, she released several critically acclaimed albums and performed at the BRIC Jazz Fest, DC Jazz Festival, Vicenza Jazz Fest, Red Sea Jazz Fest to name a few. She collaborated and shared the stage with greats such as William Parker, Mat Maneri, Chad Taylor, Satoshi Takeishi, Thomas Morgan, Mary Prescott. A recipient of the Brooklyn Arts Council grants, she created a free concert series throughout Brooklyn, including in a transitional home for unhoused people and in community gardens. Fort is also a licensed creative arts therapist and board certified music therapist, as well as a faculty member at the NYU Music Therapy program and the Roc Nation school at Long Island University.
About Chad Taylor
Chad Taylor (born March 19th 1973) is a percussionist, composer, scholar and educator. Taylor leads the Chad Taylor Trio, Circle down, and the Chad Taylor Quintet. He is a founding member of the Chicago Underground along with Jeff Parker and Rob Mazurek. A prolific sideman, Taylor has performed on over 130 recordings with musicians such as Pharoah Sanders, Marc Ribot, Nicole Mitchell, Matana Roberts, Eric Revis, Jaimie Branch, James Brandon Lewis, Fred Anderson, Roscoe Mitchell, Darius Jones amongst many others. In 2024, he was selected to lead the University of Pittsburgh's Jazz Studies Program while holding the William S. Dietrich II Endowed Chair in Jazz Studies.
