About Andrea Wolper
A mainstay of the New York jazz scene, “a superb singer" and "brilliant musical storyteller,” Andrea Wolper is also known as a "superior" songwriter and "terrific arranger.” A vocalist who honors the past while being "forward-thinking and consistently fresh,” she moves seamlessly between the straight ahead and experimental jazz scenes. Woper has headlined at top clubs and festivals, and tours in the U.S. and beyond; New York headliner credits include Dizzy's, Birdland, The Blue Note, Mezzrow, Zinc Bar, and far too many others to list. Since the late 1990s, Andrea has had the honor of singing at numerous concerts and Jazz Vespers services at Saint Peter’s. She teaches voice lessons, and workshops in jazz performance, songwriting, and improvisation. Her most recent album, “Wanderlust” (2024), was hailed as “magnificent…a pure vocal jazz album at its very best,” an album that “reminds the listener of the difference between simply good and truly exceptional.” www.andreawolper.com
