Jazz Renaissance with Parris Lane

Parris Lane’s Jazz Renaissance returns for another night of jazz music and performances at the historic Geoffrey’s Inner Circle.  A walk down memory lane of the famous Harlem New York Cotton Club, the Emmy Nominated actress, singer, producer, and award winning film director brings a night full of singing, dancing, and laughter. 

The 2nd Parris residency show at Geoffrey’s Inner Circle will bring special guest performances by the dynamic singing trio, Brown, Sturgis & Brown, known for their showcase revival, reminiscing the Rat Pack era to the audience.  

The group, regularly featured at the famous Monterey Jazz Festival, consists of Mark Brown, whose incomparable voice has performed for notables such as Beb Winans, Patti Labelle, and Carlos Santana. 

 Patrick Sturgis has been sparkling among stars as a singer since his first solo performance at the age of eight. The engineer, by day, contributes his smooth voice to the American Jazz standards of the group, as well as his amazing piano skills.   

Nona Brown’s remarkable career is not just as a singer but a songwriter as well, and in 2019 ranked #14 and #21 on the Billboard chart list with “Songs from My Journal Vol. 1; 2022 Telly Award Music Video Winner and arranged and performed background on the Grammy’s 2022 Award-Winning Children’s Album by Falu “A Colorful World.” Nona was the first black woman to be elected President of the San Francisco Chapter of the Recording Academy.  

Twilight Brass Band brings you authentic New Orleans traditional brass band music. Twilight Brass Band is California’s only traditional New Orleans brass band spearheaded by a New Orleans native – Harold “Homeboy” Wilson. Harold has over 60 years of experience parading in the true art form of New Orleans brass band performance and second lining. He is the great-grandson of brass band pioneer Booker T. Glass.
