Gather the family and friends and bring a picnic to Shenley Park's Walled Garden for an afternoon of big band jazz!From the giants of the 1940s, through to modern-day big band music, we'll be performing a varied and contemporary repertoire throughout the afternoon, covering everything from swing to Latin to funk. Expect to hear the music of Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, and the WDR Big Band, as well as vocal numbers popularised by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole, and Diane Schuur.
Bring your own food and drink, or grab a pizza and real ale from the local food vendors while enjoying a big band performance in the beautiful surroundings of the Walled Garden.
Tickets cost £8 for adult (plus 20p service charge), and £4 for children (plus 10p service charge).
Gates open at 1pm with the first big band set starting at 2pm. The event will finish by around 5pm.
