About this Event
Join us National Action Network of Columbia and Black Lives Matter Charleson at Jazz, Joy, and Justice, as we celebrate the resilience and spirit that jazz brings to the ongoing fight for justice!
While elections can shift the landscape, our commitment to social justice must remain steadfast. Jazz has long been a source of joy and solidarity for Black communities, sustaining their strength through countless struggles. This event reminds us that joy itself is an act of resistance—a way to honor our progress and reaffirm our determination, no matter the political climate.
Through music, art, and community, we are reminded that justice is not only a pursuit but a practice of joy. Just as jazz persists through complex rhythms and dissonant chords, so too must our dedication to building a more just society. Jazz, Joy, and Justice encourages us to carry this joy forward and use it as fuel for continued advocacy and empowerment.
We will have social justice organizations available to answer questions and to give information about how you can be involved in this fight for justice.
