Guilherme Monteiro, born in Rio de Janeiro in 1971, rose quickly as a guitarist, performing professionally by fifteen and later studying at the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance with mentors like Clark Terry and Jimmy Heath. Since moving to New York City in 2000, he has recorded and toured with major artists including Ron Carter, Kurt Elling, Eliane Elias, and Forro in the Dark, contributing to Grammy nominated and winning albums while leading his own projects. https://www.instagram.com/guilmonteiro
