Jazz Classique, based in Winston-Salem, is a unique ensemble that successfully blends classical music techniques with jazz improvisation. Since its inception in 2017 at the Salem Bach Festival, the group has successfully garnered praise from both classical and jazz enthusiasts. The 2026 concert series, entitled “A Jazz Collective”, features the music of its founder John Mochnick. Selections include: Petite Suite – an extended six-movement, jazz/classical hybrid work as well as straight-ahead jazz and Latin selections.Program
