Back for the second time - designed to kick winter in the JAZZ. DAN DOUGLAS and Friends - Brian Coughlan, Ross Wooldridge, Michael Broadhead and Eric Smeaton are getting together for an evening of unforgetable music - JAZZ Because It's JANUARY - TOO!Dan Douglas - trombone, has been working as a freelance performer since the age of 17. His early experiences had him playing with many of the great jazz masters and his traditional jazz band, the Dixie Demons will celebrate 40 years this year. Dan resides in Foxboro, is a member of the Quinte Symphony Orchestra and last year received a Quinte Arts Council Arts Recognition Award.
He's is at it again! This time with an all Ontario crew made up of Ross Wooldridge, on keys, Eric Smeaton on drums, Michael Broadhead on bass and Brian Coughlan on saxophones. This talented group will be playing everything from Eddie Jefferson to Thelonius Monk and more on January 25th at the UpFront Cafe. With leader Dan Douglas on Trombone and vocals, this promises to be a great night of jazz.
