Welcome to JAZZ AT THE FARM! Get ready for an evening of great jazz at the historic Fowler Clark Epstein Farm in Mattapan, home to Urban Farming Institute. Join us on Saturday, September 21, 2024 starting at 5:00 PM for live jazz amid the lush greenery of the farm. Bring your friends and enjoy the music in this beautiful outdoor setting. Featured artists include Anabel Gil Diaz, Ron Reid and more.

Anabel Gil Diaz is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, composer, and artist. She is a gifted and influential flutist. She can be heard on Terri-Lyne Carrington’s Grammy-Award winning album New Jazz Standards Vol. 1. She has performed at Reno Jazz Festival, Arlington Jazz Festival, Momence Jazz Festival, Chicago Jazz Festival and at prestigious venues throughout the United States and Europe.

Ron Reid is a bassist, steel drummer, arranger, composer, and educator. His work includes musical director for the Trinidad Theatre Workshop’s productions of Derek Walcott’s Joker of Seville and Dream on Monkey Mountain at Boston’s Huntington Theatre, and well as the premiere production of Steel produced by the American Repertory Theatre. He has performed and/or recorded with Randy Weston, Carmen Lundy, Dave Samuels’ Caribbean Jazz Project, Grace Kelly, Antonio Hart, Bill Harley, Gabrielle Goodman, Theron Shaw, and Othello Molineaux. Reid performs as a sideman and with his Liberty Quintet. He is also a critically acclaimed steel pan jazz artist and band leader.
