About Kandace Springs
Praised by Prince for having "a voice that could melt snow," Kandace Springs and her all-female ensemble effortlessly blend soul, pop, and jazz. Springs, influenced by her Nashville upbringing and her father, Scat Springs, a respected session singer, developed a deep love for music from an early age.
Discovered by Prince after her captivating rendition of Sam Smith's Stay with Me went viral, Springs quickly rose to prominence, gracing prestigious stages and major television shows, as well as festivals like Afropunk and Bonnaroo. Her debut EP and subsequent album Soul Eyes showcased her mature artistry, drawing critical acclaim for her sensuous vocals and elegant arrangements.
Springs’ concert features songs from her latest Blue Note Records album The Women Who Raised Me. She pays tribute to iconic female vocalists like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Astrid Gilberto, Sade, Norah Jones, and more.
