From Warsaw’s night sky to a courtyard in Banjara Hills. ✨?
As part of Jazz at Imli, we welcome LIGHT STAR GUIDING @light_star_guiding (Warsaw, Poland), a quartet that lives where jazz, post-rock and contemporary music spill into trance-like minimalism and ritual groove. Led by guitarist-composer Mikołaj Poncyljusz, with Ray Dickaty on tenor saxophone and flute, Michał Załęski on keys, Moog and bass, and Dominik “Dodos” Mokrzewski on drums, the band builds long, hypnotic arcs with chant-like openings, deep drones, sudden climaxes and almost cinematic patterns.
Their India tour, under the JAZZ PO POLSKU “Around the World” project, brings a slice of Poland’s adventurous jazz scene to Hyderabad, on stage and in the rehearsal room.
