The annual Jazz and World Music Festival at the Capital University Conservatory of Music features students, faculty, and world-renowned guest artists. In addition to performances both on- and off-campus, there are clinics and workshops throughout the duration of the festival. All events are free and open to the public unless marked otherwise. On Wednesday, April 8th, the Conservatory of Music will open its doors to middle and high school students for an interactive and educational experience. Between 9am-5pm visiting students will see performances by Capital students, faculty, and our 2026 guest artist Sean Jones! Students will also have the opportunity to participate in open jam sessions with Capital’s Jazz Ensembles, perform in a New Orleans style parade, and sit in on a collegiate-level ensemble rehearsal.
