Hastings Book Festival Fringe and The Beacon present a magical evening of jazz and Greek myth. Writer Gwendoline Coates will be reading a short story as the musicians weave around the narrative together creating a fascinating interplay of myth and music.
The Full Circle Quartet was formed by bassist Terry Pack whose long term musical partnership with pianist Joss Peach developed into a collaboration with drummer Angus Bishop and saxophonist Josephine Davies. All four musicians compose for the band and share a love of the Sussex countryside from which they take much of their inspiration. Their debut album 'The South Downs Suite' and the recent follow up 'Open Water' are both available from New Leaf Records:

Gwendoline Coates writes fiction and poetry about self-sufficiency drawn from her experience of living on a remote Shetland island and a smallholding high in the Apennine Mountains. She now lives in Hastings without so much as a window-box transferring the power of her elbow from a spade to a pen.
