David “Crawdad” Cantera has been a seasoned, highly regarded, veteran of the Edmonton blues and roots music scene for nearly 4 decades. Crawdad has been the sideman behind many luminaries from across North America. He is a talented multi-instrumentalist, an incredible harmonica player, plays keyboard, and has a voice you won’t soon forget. He is a founding member of the group Front Porch Roots Revue, an Edmonton Blues Hall of Fame inductee. His performances at the 2025 Camrose Blues Festival were legendary. He has played and toured with acts such as Jimmy and the Sleepers, Big Dave McLean, Brent Parkin, Up On Cripple Creek alongside artists such as John York of The Byrds. For more than 27 years and running Dave has hosted the famous Willy James Engel Sunday Soul Service performing with The Moron Tabernacle Orchestra.
