Early in his career, Jay B opened shows for legendary artists such as James Cotton, Mountain, Gregg Allman, and Canned Heat, among many others. He went on to tour across the United States with various bands and later shared the stage with iconic acts including Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels, Steppenwolf, Edgar Winter, Samantha Fish, Tab Benoit, Gatemouth Brown, 38 Special, Band of Heathens, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and Molly Hatchet, to name a few.
With a deep-rooted love for blues and Southern rock, Jay B honed his craft by drawing inspiration from the masters of both genres. His songwriting blends blues and Southern rock influences with elements of old-style country music, creating a sound that is authentic, powerful, and distinctly his own.
Jay B has recorded three albums of original music with The JJ Muggler Band and four albums with his own band, including his latest release. He recently signed with CYS Productions with the backing of The Ear Candy Coalition and has just completed his fourth album.
His current band features an impressive lineup of seasoned musicians, including legendary drummer Owen Hale, a top Nashville and Muscle Shoals session player who has performed on hits by Toby Keith, George Strait, Merle Haggard, Jerry Reed, and Alabama, and who toured and recorded three albums over half a decade with the iconic Lynyrd Skynyrd, as well as Reba McEntire.
On bass and vocals is Rocky Seal, a University of New Orleans music graduate who has played with many of the top bands in the New Orleans area.
Parker Freeman rounds out the lineup on guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin—a multi-instrumentalist whose talents include touring with ZZ Top.
Together, The Jay B Elston Band delivers a unique fusion of Blues, Southern Rock, Country, Americana, and Heavy Rock, creating a sound that is both rooted in tradition and driven by raw power.
