Jason Zelward was just 35 years old when he died on November 18, 2018 following a short battle with cancer. Losing Jason devastated his family, their journey of grief has been long and difficult. Jason was their warrior and now he is also the Compassionate Grief Centre's warrior. Jason Zelward's Familis is proud to have this event named in his name and honoring such an amazing family.Join us for a afternoon of fun with an old fashioned game of Tug of War and Washer Toss.
Components include:
• Team Tug of War Event
• Washer Toss Tournament
• Games for Children
• BBQ
• Official Ceremonies to award prizes and congratulate
winners.
Goal: To raise funds for our Grief & Loss programs
Date: Sunday June 23, 2023
Time: 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Where: Simonds High School Football Field
Details: Teams of 5 registered individuals and have a chance to win the Tug of War Competition. Co-Ed Teams only (needs to be at least 2 woman/ 2 Men, plus one other). Washer Toss Teams to be determined by a draw (max 20 woman and 20 men).
Registration Fee:
Tug of War $125/ Team
Washer Toss $25/ Person
Fundraising: Pledge sheets for fundraiser will be given upon registration if one chooses to do so.
Hon. Family: Each year, the Compassionate Grief Centre selects a family to serve as the Honorary Family in memory of their loved one.
