About this Event
Follow the smoke to Time Out Market Union Square, where Jase’s BBQ is taking over for a limited-time pop-up serving deeply flavorful, slow-cooked classics with roots in Trinidad and Tobago.
Founder Jase Franklyn learned to barbecue in Tobago, where cooking for family gatherings was both tradition and craft. After moving to the U.S., he kept that tradition alive, spending weekends behind the grill before officially launching Jase’s BBQ in 2018.
Since then, Jase’s BBQ has earned recognition across New York’s barbecue scene, including Best Food Overall at Bacon and Beer Classic NYC, the Hidden Gem Award at Pig Island NYC, and Best Rib Dinner at Rib King NYC.
At Time Out Market Union Square, that same award-winning approach is on full display. Expect brisket sliced to order, jerk spare ribs layered with heat and spice, and pulled pork that’s tender, rich, and built for a proper plate. Everything is served by the half pound, so you can mix, match, and go all in.
Round it out with classic sides like mac and cheese, cornbread, and coleslaw, made to complement every bite.
This is barbecue that lives up to its promise: smoked and seasoned to perfection.
This is a limited-time pop-up, so come hungry and catch it while you can.
