About this Event
Jars of Love - PBRMC Peanut Butter Drive to Fight Hunger
Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is working to fight hunger in the community by collecting peanut butter to donate to SEMO Food Bank. The fourth annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive starts on March 1st and will continue through March 30th. Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center (PBRMC) collects peanut butter because it is one of the least donated items, even though it is high in nutritional value and is shelf-stable.
SEMO Food Bank estimates that in Southeast Missouri, 1 in 6 neighbors, 1 in 4 children, and 1 in 8 seniors are food insecure. Peanut butter is high in nutritional value and has a long shelf life, making it a much needed item for food banks.
This year, PBRMC has a goal to collect 3K jars of peanut butter and other nut butters for SEMO Food Bank. Everyone is welcome to donate peanut butter or other nut butters (plastic jars only) at PBRMC’s main campus at 3100 Oak Grove Road.
Donation Bin Locations: PBRMC Main Campus
- Front lobby
- Oak Grove Grille (cafeteria)
- Regional Physician Services front entrance
A donation link is also available where a $5 donation provides two jars of peanut butter.
