About this Event
This is more than a party — this is a celebration of true hip-hop culture. For one night, the Midwest becomes the meeting ground for legacy and rhythm as Jarobi White, founding member of A Tribe Called Quest, takes control of the turntables. Jarobi represents the living lineage of a group widely regarded as one of the most influential and respected collectives in hip-hop history — innovators of sound, style, and consciousness, and core architects of the Native Tongues movement, alongside icons like Q-Tip and Phife Dawg. His set is more than music — it’s an extension of the Tribe legacy, delivered straight from the source.
Sharing the decks is J. Rawls, a legendary producer, educator, and sonic historian, known for his deep crates, masterful transitions, and timeless production work. J. Rawls has produced for and collaborated with some of hip-hop’s most respected artists, including his acclaimed partnership with Talib Kweli, delivering music rooted in authenticity, lyricism, and culture. His DJ sets are immersive journeys through classics, underground gems, and the sounds that shaped generations.
