Januško Klaudia Served Right című második egyéni kiállítása az acb Bak Imre space-ben nyílik. A korábbi munkáiból ismert, a férfitekintet által formált nőábrázolások kritikai vizsgálatát tágabb elméleti és vizuális összefüggésrendszerbe helyezi. Az új festmények és installatív elemek tematikus kiindulópontját egyfelől a radikális feminizmus felől értelmezett, a mindennapi életbe beépülő egyenlőtlenségek vizsgálata, másfelől a cyberfeminizmus nézőpontjából újragondolt digitális terek és technológiák nemi viszonyai, valamint a neomedievalizmus által inspirált, a középkor stilizált képi világát mozgósító vizuális referenciák adják. A kiállítás anyaga nem elkülönülő tematikus egységekként szerveződik, hanem egymásba csúszó, egymást folyamatosan átíró gondolati rétegek mentén épül fel, ahol a múlt és jelen, a fizikai és virtuális terek, valamint a személyes és kollektív tapasztalatok dinamikus viszonyba kerülnek egymással. A Served Right cím maga is ezt a többrétegűséget sűríti magába: egyszerre utal az igazságtétel gesztusára, valamint a gondoskodás és kiszolgálás történetileg nőkhöz társított szerepeire.
Januško Klaudia (1998) a Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetem festőművész mesterszakán szerezte diplomáját 2024-ben, 2023-ban pedig Erasmus-ösztöndíjjal a finnországi Aalto Egyetemen tanult Visual Cultures, Curating and Contemporary Art szakon. Kutatásait támogatta a Magyar Új Nemzeti Kiválósági Program, valamint a BRAWE magyar-török nemzetközi feminista együttműködési programjai. 2022 óta számos csoportos kiállításon vett részt Magyarországon, többek között a Liget Galériában, Trafó Galériában és az acb Galériában, valamint Athénban, Helsinkiben, Párizsban és New Yorkban. 2024-ben az Izlandi SÍM Residency kurátori gyakorlatának keretében az ökofeminizmus szempontjából vizsgálta a lokális éghajlatváltozási hatásainak és az izlandi nők társadalmi helyzetének metszéspontjait. 2025-ben elnyerte a Kassák Kortárs Művészeti Díjat, valamint döntős volt a TÓTalJOY Díj és az ACAX & Residency Unlimited New York-i programjában. 2025 őszén két hónapot töltött ösztöndíjjal a párizsi Cité Internationale des Arts rezidenciaprogramjában. Legutóbb pedig két hónapon keresztül ösztöndíjasként vett részt a lengyel Goyki 3 művészrezidencia programban. Második önálló kiállítása az acb Galériában a Bak Imre space-ben látható Served Right címmel.

Januško Klaudia’s second solo exhibition, Served Right, opens at the acb Bak Imre Space. It expands on her earlier work, which critically examined representations of women shaped by the male gaze, situating these inquiries within a broader theoretical and visual framework.
The new paintings and installation elements take as their thematic starting points, on the one hand, the examination of everyday inequalities interpreted through radical feminism, and on the other, the gendered relations of digital spaces and technologies reconsidered from a cyberfeminist perspective, as well as visual references inspired by neomedievalism, which mobilize a stylized imagery of the Middle Ages. Rather than being organized into separate thematic units, the exhibition unfolds through interwoven and continuously rearticulating layers of thought, where past and present, physical and virtual spaces, as well as personal and collective experiences enter into dynamic relationships with one another. The title Served Right itself encapsulates this multilayered structure: it simultaneously refers to an act of justice or retribution, as well as to historically gendered roles of care and service traditionally associated with women.
Januško Klaudia (1998) graduated from the Master’s program in Painting at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2024. In 2023, she studied at Aalto University in Finland on an Erasmus scholarship, specializing in Visual Cultures, Curating, and Contemporary Art. Her research has been supported by the New National Excellence Program of Hungary, as well as by BRAWE, a Hungarian–Turkish international feminist collaboration program. Since 2022, she has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Hungary, including at Liget Gallery, Trafó Gallery, and acb Gallery, as well as in Athens, Helsinki, Paris, and New York. In 2024, within the framework of the curatorial practice of the SÍM Residency in Iceland, she examined the intersections of local climate change impacts and the social situation of Icelandic women from an ecofeminist perspective. In 2025, she received the Kassák Contemporary Art Prize, and was a finalist for the TÓTalJOY Prize and the ACAX & Residency Unlimited New York program. In autumn 2025, she spent two months as a resident at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, followed by a two-month residency at the Goyki 3 Art Residency program in Poland. Her second solo exhibition is presented at acb Gallery in the Bak Imre Space under the title Served Right.
