The Deslondes, a band that began as a New Orleans neighborhood hangout, have spent more than 15 years creating an evolving “gumbo” of genres, blending country, blues, jazz, rockabilly, and more. With their latest album, Roll It Out, the five members channel a unique camaraderie and shared history that feels like “the old family farm”—a place of comfort, collaboration, and continuity. Following the departure of their longtime drummer Cameron Snyder, the group welcomed Howe Pearson, whose energy revitalized their sound, bringing them back to their roots with an upbeat twist. This new lineup captures both fresh inspiration and nostalgic reflection, drawing from the unrecorded songs they've cherished for years and new pieces shaped by their journeys together.
