Come learn the mother of all Dances: the Waltz, and her sister Latin dance Rumba, with us.4 weeks of Group lessons held in our historic barn ballroom. Ballroom is upstairs in the loft, and is accessible by stairs only, so must be able to use steps to join.
We will learn the basic box steps, turning box, underarm turns, and any other steps and movement, as time and proficiency allow.
Dancing is both a great social activity, along with terrific exercise, and helps with balance and mental acuity.
You do not have to have a partner to attend, as we will encourage all to change partners to assist in leading and following skills. Appropriate dance footwear is encouraged; in the absence of having ballroom-specific shoes, closed toe shoes that are not slip on/off, and leather or suede soles are best.
