$50 Ticket includes dinner and concert (Beverages can be purchased separately). Jazz/Pop vocalist Janet Paulsen is known for her carefully curated shows and thoughtful interpretation of song lyrics. In her tribute show, Joyful Song, Janet celebrates the great singing of Rosemary Clooney and her love of the Great American Songbook.
This show comprises song selections that reflect Clooney’s life experiences and deep love of music, and features favorites from both her pop and jazz repertoires, looking deep into the history that made her who she was.
Featured songs include Tenderly, which was the opening number on Clooney’s 1950’s television show, and novelty tunes such as Mambo Italiano, which brought her fame, as well as her sultry love ballads. There will be a medley of the famous songs from the iconic film, White Christmas, that she starred in. After hearing her sing, Irving Berlin wrote the song, Love - You Didn’t Do Right By Me, specifically for Clooney. This song is a favorite of Janet’s, who will be wearing a copy of the dress Clooney wore in the film when she sang this iconic song..
