George Washingmachine is an Australian jazz violinist, vocalist, actor, and visual artist celebrated for his highâenergy performances and charismatic stage presence. Based in Sydney, he leads his own ensemblesâmost notably the swingâdriven George Washingmachine Quartet, featuring skilled collaborators on guitar and double bass. His musical range spans toeâtapping gypsy jazz and soulful blues, and he also showcases talents on guitar and double bass. Internationally acclaimed, heâs toured Europe, Cuba, New Zealand, and the US, appearing at major festivals including Havana Jazz and Sydneyâs renowned venues . His discography includes nine albums across swing, string ensemble, and blues stylesâsuch as 'Sweet Atmosphere', 'Room 301 Sessions', and 'Blue Rinse'. George also collaborates with classical jazz figuresâlike Simon Tedeschi, performing Gershwin and Cole Porter standardsâand works regularly in theatre and television. Whether fronting a quartet, leading a larger ensemble, or mentoring others, George Washingmachine brings virtuosity, humour, and artful showmanship to every performance.
