James Leg,Fender Rhodes finger banger, organ-grinder, howler and growler JAMES LEG, (former Black Diamond Heavies and The Immortal Lee County Killers IV) is returning to Europe to preach hisfiery punk-ass blues! James Leg was born in southeast Texas in 1974, and began playing piano, organ and singing in hispreacher father's church at the young age of 6.At the age of 15 he heard rock and roll for the first time in a "Tent Revival" service...during anexpose sermon on "the devil's music." ...from there he found Blues, the link between Gospel andRock and Roll.In 2002, he launched the cult-favorite "punk-ass blues" band, Black Diamond Heavies, with fellow Tennessee blues man, Mark "Porkchop" Holder, self-releasing their debut ep in 2004. The Black Diamond Heavies released three more full length albums between 2007 and 2009, all on Alive Naturalsound Records (BOMP!), and toured extensively in the U.S and abroad.In 2005, he joined the final lineup of legendary Alabama-based punk blues band, The Immortal Lee County Killers.During the early 2000's, he guested on several bands' albums including label-mates, The Buffalo Killers and Left Lane Cruiser, and cut a collaborative album with the latter in 2012, titled Painkillers (Alive Naturalsound Records/BOMP!).In 2010, he joined former Soledad Brothers frontman Johnny Walker in his project called The CutIn The Hill Gang for one album on the French label, Beast Records.In 2011, he began using the stage name, James Leg, and released 3 solo records, all on AliveNaturalsound Records(BOMP!)Over the last 25 years he has performed between 100 and 200 shows per year in 48 states and morethan 30 countries. Leg is currently working on his ninth studio album in a 100yr old methodist church in southeast Tennessee, with a few outings for select dates planned in 2026.
