Join a park Naturalist for a leisurely bike ride, roughly a mile and a half to a bat roosting site, where the naturalist will talk about Florida bats. From there you have the option to bike back with the naturalist or continue biking on the rail trail. Along the bike ride, the park naturalist will point out birds, wildflowers, and other wildlife seen along the way. Bring your own bike- JaxParks does not offer bike rentals.
Helmets are required for those under 16 years of age.
Meet the park naturalist in the parking lot of the Halsema Road trailhead. Please arrive at the designated meeting location ready to hit the trail by the advertised start time or you may miss the program.
Water, sun protection and bug spray are recommended.
Outside programs may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, etc.
