About this Event
(FBC) is dedicated to promoting inclusivity & safety in birding for everyone especially LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC & disabled folks and women.
Join FBC's Zelle and Lauren in search of late fall birds in Jackson Park. This sunrise stroll will take us through Wooded Island, including the Japanese Garden. Exact meeting location will be emailed to participants.
No prior experience with birdwatching is required. This is a beginner friendly event and organization. Families are also welcome to join (children do not need to RSVP). Binoculars will be available for loan upon request.

Getting There: If driving, you may park on Stony Island, near 59th street, walk east across the parkland area, then cross Cornell Drive to reach the spot. If going by public transportation, the #28 and #63 buses and the Metra Electric line run near the park. Some walking may be required to reach the meeting pin.
Accessibility & Terrain: The terrain is rather even and many of the main paths are paved. Be prepared to walk about 1-2 miles. Bathrooms and benches are available.
Dress: Please dress in weather appropriate , comfortable clothing. Late October in Chicago can be unpredictable.
