Kansas City jazz pianist, vocalist, and composer Jackie Myers brings her soulful touch and blues-infused vocals to the LowDown stage on Saturday, December 6. A seasoned performer with seven albums to her name and residencies at some of KC’s most notable venues, Myers blends jazz standards, inventive originals, and groove-forward keyboard work reminiscent of Ahmad Jamal and Les McCann. With the tight rhythm section of Less and Leifer, the Jackie Myers Trio delivers a vibrant mix of straight-ahead jazz, soul-jazz, and blues, creating an experience both fresh and rooted in tradition. The trio includes Jackie Myers vocals, bassist Seth Less, and drummer Matt Leifer. Doors open at 6 p.m. | Show starts at 6:30 p.m.

ABOUT JACKIE MYERS
Jackie Myers is a jazz pianist, composer, and singer. She is a transplant from Austin, Texas, where she performed in the indie touring circuit for almost a decade. She has been playing in Kansas City since December of 2017 with shows that feature a mix of jazz standards and original compositions. Since then she has held residencies at several notable jazz venues in Kansas City, including but not limited to, Corvino Supper Club, Chaz on the Plaza, and Green Lady Lounge. She also held the position of Music Director and piano player for the nationally syndicated radio show – 12th Street Jump – taped live in Kansas City until 2020, when the show ended.
