Jack Breen Ensemble

Jack has been deeply connected to the Walker|West community since 2004 when he began studying under Felix James. Now leading the jazz department, he has been a vital part of the Teaching and Performing faculty since 2019. He holds dual degrees in Saxophone Performance and Music Education from Lawrence University Conservatory and completed an internship at the New York Jazz Academy in Manhattan. Throughout his career, Jack has collaborated with a diverse array of artists, including Bill Carrothers, Mike Stern, José Encarnación, and fellow Walker|West instructors Kevin Washington, Kavyesh Kaviraj, and Charlie Lincoln.
