J DILLA | MF DOOM | Erykah Badu Tribute Show

Young Phenom Christian Kyle Burgs and his band Pangea pay tribute to certified legends in Hip-Hop: J Dilla, MF Doom, and Erykah Badu.

For this evening, expect to hear beautifully transcendent Black American Music featuring a collection of Nashville's most promising young artists including Bill DuBois, Alayna Ranae, and Issaren.

Christian Kyle is a musical chameleon, comfortable in any musical setting no matter the role or genre. He has been prominently featured in recordings and performances with legends and leaders such as: Ellis Marsalis, Herbie Hancock, Bobby Watson, Curtis Lundy, Al Jarreau, Activist and Black Panther Leader Angela Davis, E.W. Wainwright, Sean Jones, Warren Wolf, Jason Moran, Edward Simon, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, Mike Aaberg,Theo Croker, Common, David Sanchez, and Roland Barber amongst others. Christian has also had the opportunity to play at Monterey Jazz Festival, tour twice with Bobby Watson and Lisa Henry, and speak on Good Morning America and the Early Show in New York City. Christian studied at the famous Kinder High School for Performing and Visual Arts (Beyonce, Robert Glasper, Chris Dave, Eric Harland) San Francisco Conservatory and is finishing at Belmont University here in Nashville.

Son of the city, Marc Payne on piano, the brilliant Tahina Fiaferana on guitar, and Jus James on Bass.

All patrons are required to provide proof that you are vaccinated for Covid-19, OR proof of a negative Covid-19 test that was administered within 72 hours of the date on which you are attending a show at Rudy’s Jazz Room. Proof of vaccination and test results must bear a name that matches the government-issued identification for the patron that is seeking entry. We accept a picture or scan on your cell phone, photocopy, or original document of your CDC-issued vaccination card. We will accept a printed, or digital copy of a negative Covid-19 test result from a test given within 72 hours of the date of the show you are attending.

This show is 21 and over only. All sales are final and we unfortunately cannot offer any refunds. Additional tickets may be available at the door on the day of the show even if it is sold out online.

Please try to arrive 15 minutes prior to the show start time. If you do not arrive within 45 minutes after the show start time on your ticket your seat may be resold to other patrons at the door. If you arrive after 45 minutes from the start time of the show and your ticket has been resold, although we cannot guarantee it, we will try our best to make space for you to attend the show.
