Did you miss our inaugural event last November? Do you need some IW tribe time before our hike in July? Or maybe you're just hungry and want some delicious meat in your mouth! None of it matters as long as you can join us for our usual shenanigans and laughs!!!COMPETITORS:
-Entry Fee will be $40 per meat. (Meat will be provided. We are looking to do pork loins and ribs again, but this could vary based on donations)
-Team Captain MUST be a Veteran, but IW or VFW membership is NOT required.
-Choose between pork loin and St. Louis style ribs (these are the tentative options and we will confirm as soon as we have donations in hand)
-Meat must be picked up in the Des Moines metro area unless otherwise arranged. (if you want to compete, but don't live in the Des Moines area let me know and we'll figure things out)
-Teams are encouraged to cook onsite, but we understand that not everyone has that option, so you can also cook at home and bring your finished product to the VFW for judging.
-Teams can sign-up by emailing [email protected] (Payment will be due when you pick up your meat)
-***PRIZES*** The winner in each category will win half of the pot from the registration fees!
One FREE cigar for all Veterans whether you are competing or not!
Tentative Timeline:
6am-Set-up if you're cooking on-site
11:30am- All teams must be registered and present
Noon-Potluck and judging begins
Noon-3pm- Live band
2pm- Winners announced

$10 suggested donation to eat and vote
IW will provide baked beans and a potato side
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to bring a side or dessert to share (please DM Dirk Barrett to sign up to bring a side/dessert)
There will also be an outdoor cigar lounge, so feel free to bring a chair and relax with a good cigar.
There will also be a cigar related raffle with prizes donated by General Cigars.
