35th Annual Music Under the Stars | Fridays: Salsa y MásIvon Ulibarri & Cafe Mocha features a spicy blend of Latin musical influences that span the globe from New Mexico to the Caribbean, to Old Mexico, and all points Latino. A longtime fixture in the New Mexico music scene, Ulibarri’s verve and distinctive voice identifies the band’s signature sound. In 2025, she was inducted into New Mexico Music Hall of Fame. The group’s original sound is inspired by a penchant for creating a unique blend of Latin/Salsa arrangements of popular Mariachi, Blues and Pop songs. They coin their unique style as “SALSARIACHI.” Cafe Mocha’s music “uplifts dancers, enchants listeners, captivates the spirit and exalts the soul.” In addition to band leader and lead vocalist, the band also features Rosie Encinias, vocals; Monica Taylor, vocals; Ryan Goodhue, piano; Scott Brewer, bass; Michael Christmas, sax; Tanner Wagner, trombone; Rich Worchester, trumpet; Travis Rourke, trombone; Arnaldo Acosta, timbales; Oscar Gamboa, bongo & campana; and Nicolas Lebron, congas.
