After almost 6 months of work with the BMW MOA, the Airheads Club, the BMW RA, the Vintage BMW Motorcycle Owners Club, AHRMA, and BMW North America, we are ready to light ‘em up.The registration process for the 50th anniversary celebration of the storied 1976 season for AMA Superbike Racing is open.
The event will be hosted at Daytona International Speedway, back where it all began, on March 6-7, 2026. All three of the original R90S racers will be in attendance.
The list of racers from that era, who will be on-site for the event and at the Celebrity Dinner and Award Presentation on Saturday evening, includes Reg Pridmore, Steve McLaughlin, John Long, Harry Klinzmann, and Ron Pierce. Designer / builder Udo Gietl will also be with us, as will a host of others who made that an era to remember.
We also will have Tytler’s Racing, with principal owner Michael Kiley, with us … fresh off their winning the 2025 championship aboard BMW M1000RR’s.
Registration is now open. Let’s roll for Daytona.
