About this Event
Join Look2Justice, the ACLU of Washington, and Living and Loving Under the Carceral State at ARTS at King Street Station for the launch of It’s Time, a new community zine that features the art and storytelling of currently incarcerated people serving long sentences, their family members, and survivors of violence.
Their stories offer a clear look at how justice and freedom remain out of reach even as the laws around them shift.
This gathering takes place on January 8 at 6:00 PM during the Pioneer Square First Thursday Artwalk.
As part of the evening, we will host a New Year card-making station where guests can write cards to people currently incarcerated. We will have supplies, prompts, and examples available. Whether you write one card or several, you will be contributing to a shared practice of care and solidarity with our loved ones inside.
